Rachel Reese is the Founder and Executive Partner of R. Reese & Associates, a legal team focused on the challenges facing companies in the energy space. Drawing upon her experience and success as first a litigator and then as Senior Counsel at SilverBow Resources, Rachel formed a firm to provide a range of legal services and business insights for the energy industry.

Having proven herself in energy law over the years, she left her prestigious in-house position to venture toward something greater. Recognizing the antiquated and inefficient nature of traditional relationships between energy companies and law firms and that the in-house model does not work for every company, Rachel realized that she could offer better value to small to mid-sized companies by providing an outsourced Legal Department. Never being one to back down from a challenge, Rachel started R. Reese & Associates in order to disrupt the traditional industry model and usher in a more efficient and effective method for helping companies operate and develop.

Rachel graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center and served as President of the Association of Women in Law. Recently, Rachel was named to the 2021 Class of Oil and Gas Investor’s 40 Under 40 and in 2022 she served as Chair of the Energy Law Section of the Houston Bar Association. In 2023, Rachel was voted on the Board of Directors of the Petroleum Club of Houston.
