Jacob Wilson is an attorney with a strong foundation in oil and gas law and a background in landman work. Originally from Plano, Texas, Jacob began his legal career in a general practice before redirecting his focus to the energy sector, where he discovered a natural fit for his legal and analytical skills. His early work as a landman in West Texas provided hands-on experience with courthouse research, title analysis, and the complexities of mineral ownership. He provides strategic guidance to clients on identifying and resolving title issues to support drilling operations, asset development, and transactional readiness. In addition to his title expertise, Jacob has developed a growing corporate practice supporting oil and gas clients with entity formation, governance, and contract negotiation. He assists clients with drafting and reviewing JOAs, PSAs, and other transactional documents essential to upstream operations.

Jacob is the first Associate hired for RR&A’s Denver office, where his practice centers on Title and Corporate matters. He is committed to delivering precise, solutions-oriented counsel to clients navigating the legal and operational challenges of the oil and gas industry. Jacob enjoys fly fishing, gardening, and home remodeling outside of work. He especially values time with his growing family – his two-year-old son, Wesley, and his newborn daughter, Althea.
