A native Texan, Tannon Symm grew up with a strong connection to the state’s culture and environment. He played baseball at Angelina Junior College before transferring to Texas A&M University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2019 with a B.S. in Bioenvironmental Sciences. After working as an Environmental Scientist in Dallas, Tannon decided to pursue a legal career, combining his passion for environmental issues with the law.

Tannon earned his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, during which he clerked at R. Reese & Associates, gaining hands-on experience with energy, environmental, and natural resources law. Since joining RR&A as a Junior Associate in 2023, he has worked on a variety of legal matters, including regulatory compliance, land and title issues, environmental permitting, and transactional support for energy clients.

Tannon’s background in science enables him to understand environmental regulations and their impact on his clients’ operations. He pays close attention to detail and focuses on providing clear, practical legal advice to support his clients in the energy and natural resources fields.

Outside of work, Tannon enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and their dog, staying connected with family and friends, and cheering on Texas A&M sports teams.
