Tawnya Bell joined R. Reese & Associates in 2025 as Partner and Team Lead of the Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions Practice, bringing more than two decades of combined financial and legal experience to the firm. With a practice that spans both domestic and international markets, Tawnya is a trusted advisor to private fund and venture capital fund managers, guiding them through a broad spectrum of business matters, including fund formation, corporate restructuring, investment analysis, and securities and regulatory compliance.

Tawnya’s practice also includes mergers and acquisitions, complex business transactions, and structuring for private equity and venture capital funds. She brings particular insight into cross-border transactions and international investment strategies, informed by 14 years as an expatriate in Latin America and her fluency in both English and Spanish.

Prior to joining R. Reese & Associates, Tawnya was a Partner at a prominent boutique business law firm, where she represented a diverse client base including both public and private companies across the energy, manufacturing, and distribution sectors. Earlier in her career, she held leadership and advisory roles at leading global institutions, including Wells Fargo, the Royal Bank of Scotland, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she developed deep expertise in capital markets, financial regulation, and corporate governance.

Tawnya’s career has been marked by a focus on publicly traded companies, and she is now passionate about applying that knowledge to benefit privately held businesses navigating complex growth, investment, and regulatory landscapes.

A proud Texas native and the daughter of cattle ranchers in Washington County, Tawnya is committed to service and community leadership. She is an active Board Member of the University of Texas Alumni Association and served as the Event Chair for the 2024 and 2025 Longhorn Legacy Scholarship Gala, which raised critical scholarship funds for local students. She is a former board member of the Ronald McDonald House and the American Heart Association, and she remains active in philanthropic and faith communities as a member of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas.
